Having grown up as a mixed-race, bisexual woman in Bangkok, I never believed that the arts were something I could pursue as a career due to lack of opportunity. Instead, I indulged in academia, placing particular focus on English literature, student governments, writing short stories, scripts, and poetry despite my ongoing visual hobbies of editing, photography, theatre, and short stop-motion films.

I went on to study Media Studies, Theatre Studies, and English Literature A-level after moving to the UK, obtaining A*AA. I also acquired my driving license alongside this, wanting to ensure I was fully prepared for a career in production running.

Initially, I was accepted into my college's highly competitive Film Academy, where I learned to shoot on 16mm film, shoot multi-camera live events, and interviews, as well as producing, writing, directing, and editing my own personal student projects. My enthusiasm and well-developed showreel led me to being accepted onto the prestigious BFI National Film Academy as a Cinematographer, whereby I gained clarity on my next steps. I declined my film school offer, moved to London, and started working as a runner with a thirst for practical experience.
Since this, I have taken every opportunity available to work as a runner to fully understand every aspect of the art as I strive to develop myself technically, including for BBC and Netflix, and commercial/live event shoots for clients such as Xbox, Lego, and the MOBOs. I am now looking for my next opportunity, as I am now a part of the ScreenSkills production office trainee cohort for 2024 - 2025.
